Greetings from Havana!
We've just wrapped up our first Wheel & Anchor Weekend exploring Cuba's capital on her 500th birthday, and I made a short video with some thoughts about what really was a lovely experience.
We of course got to ride in some vintage cars, drink some fabulous rum, and enjoy fireworks from the seaside during the celebrations. We also had the chance to talk to some locals about how Cubans view their country politically and how the American trade embargo has affected life for them. There was much to learn about a city I think we 'know of' as Canadians, but don't really know a lot about. A great trip and one we'll be releasing again in 2020.
Coming up in the week ahead, we've got our Q&A webinar about our next 'Weekends' program to Panama in March, followed the week after by a second Q&A webinar about our Azores 'Weekend', as we've had a ton of questions about the program since we did our first webinar.
I'm on my way to Thailand for a few weeks where I'll be putting together a bunch of our 2021 programming, which I'll share more about shortly...stay tuned 🙂
