The Future Travel Forum 2022 – what’s in store for us?

August 15th, 2020

Greetings from Thailand!

September approaches with remarkable speed, so much so that I kind of can't believe that 2020 has disappeared as quickly as it has.

The fall is always one of the best times to travel, as the summer holiday travellers to the most popular destinations have left and the summer heat in many places begins to dissipate to much more comfortable weather for exploring.

I suspect there won't be much travel happening this September, and certainly not here at Wheel & Anchor. We have cancelled all and rescheduled most of the programming we had lined up for this year, and we continue to watch and wait for the first signs that we can get up and go again.

Another element the fall brings in the travel on the business side however is the planning for the next next year - it takes a significant amount of planning and coordinating to put trips like ours together, and so we need to get started on our 2022 planning in the weeks ahead.

We're going to do a series of webinars looking at regions, countries, and types of programs called the Future Travel Forum 2022, the first of which will be on August 27th. Your feedback and travel dreams and desires are very important to me and I hope you will join us and give us your input. You can find a link below to register for the first in this series.

In other news, we had a great webinar this week for our rescheduled program to Croatia, Slovenia and the Adriatic Coast, which is now entirely sold out. We will in all likelihood run the trip again in the spring or fall of 2022, and there is a small chance we may be able to get some other cabins on the ship, so do reach out if you'd like to get on the waitlist.

I just said a lot about September here but let's not forget that it is still August and that means there's summer enjoyment to be present to....be safe and soak up every minute of it 🙂

Cheers!
