Why I’m Grateful to be a Canadian Traveller

Greetings from Thailand!

I've continued to receive a ton of feedback from the community about position on vaccines and travel in the coming months ahead, and that feedback tells me our position is very in sync with the feelings and concerns of the community - we are aligned and will keep you updated as needed.

For now though, I'd like to let that issue rest - though as always feel free to reach out if you have questions or comments.

Next week we enter into July, and that means starting the month with a celebration of Canada. I took a few minutes this week to reflect on all the things I'm grateful for, not just as a Canadian, but as a Canadian traveller.

On a broader level, it's things like the opportunities our passports give us; the warm welcome we tend to receive abroad, and of course more recently, the fact that high vaccination rates mean travel will be possible for many Canadians before many other people across the globe.

There's lots to be grateful for, and it's a nice energetic shift from thinking about more challenging topics. I'm as convinced as ever that the future is bright and well on the way to us.

A few quick notes on things here and upcoming - I'm pleased to release the second sailing of our Ultimate Nile Cruise, which will be returning up the Nile immediately following the first trip down the Nile! As it's only a 12-passenger affair, I'm delighted we were able to secure another opportunity for our members to have this experience.

As for upcoming, we won't do a webinar on Canada Day, but will resume the following week with our Tuscany LiveAway, followed by our one about houseboating along the Canal du Midi. Please join us for either should you feel so inclined.

Stay well my friends, and may the start of summer be the start of a whole bunch of other great things to come.

Cheers!
