More Member Questions + Our Full Trip List

Greetings from Thailand!

I took some time this week to review some of our New Member Questionnaires, looking through your dream destinations as I put together our trip calendar for 2024 and beyond. Lots of great ideas in there - thanks very much for your feedback.

There were also lots of great questions, particularly for those new to our community. In my video below I've answered a few of the more common ones, including questions about single supplements, length of trips, age & fitness, flying as a group vs meeting in destination, personal time on trips, and more.

I'm also pleased this week to release our Morocco: Land of Enchantment program, happening in November 2023. It's been 12 years or so now since I last visited, and putting together this program fully reignited my desire to go back and explore some more.

Morocco has many layers and it's important to get out beyond the cities to really understand it. On this trip we'll explore the history and culture of Casablanca, Tangier, Fes, and Marrakesh, as well as see the beautiful forests of the Atlas mountains and the undulating sand dunes of the Sahara, where we'll spend a few nights at a luxury desert camp under the stars.

For the majority of the trip we've eschewed traditional hotels in favour of riads, a traditional Moroccan house. The term comes from the Arab word ‘ryad’ (meaning ‘garden’) but is applied to townhouses built around an inner courtyard or garden, with the windows of each room facing into the courtyard, in line with the Islamic idea of privacy and inward reflection.

All in all I think it's a trip that really captures the essence of Morocco; if you're curious, take a look at the itinerary in your newsletter.

One more note on trips - I've received many questions about our trip schedule for the fall, winter and things upcoming, so I pulled together an updated list that you can view in your newsletter with all the links to our various itineraries (the ones we have completed).

As you can imagine, this list will change faster than we can update it, so consider this both a snapshot and a preview. We'll update it monthly, so if you see a trip that's close to full that you'd like to join, please reach out as the status may have changed since our last update.

Lots more to come, including webinars on the Azores and the Algarve in the following two weeks. I trust your fall is off to a smooth start, and for those heading off on a trip (or about to go), I wish you safe travels.

Cheers!
