A Request for Your Feedback Regarding a Future Trip to Italy

Greetings from Paphos, Cyprus!

Our Cyprus LiveAway is soon coming to a close, but the travelling shall continue, as I prepare to meet another group of travellers next week in Florence for the beginning our Tuscany LiveAway program.

A few weeks in Florence never gets old, and at the end of the trip I’ll be doing a little reconnaissance for our 2023 LiveAway program on the south coast of Sicily.

The challenge of trip planning in Italy is usually more about what to leave out, as there are just so many charming towns and regions to explore, and regardless of how long you go for it never seems to be quite long enough!

In this vein, I’d love to hear from you regarding which parts of Italy would interest you most for future LiveAways there. We could do a month in one place, or 1-2 week segments across a number of regions…it’s really up to the community.

In the blog below I’ve whipped up a short poll with a few options, and I would very much appreciate your indulgence if you wouldn’t mind sharing your thoughts.

We could do the Alto Adige / South Tyrol region, the German-speaking part of Italy near the beautiful Dolomite mountains and with spa towns like Merano; or perhaps the Lake District, near the famous Lake Como, Lake Maggiore, Milan, and Lombardy;

Or we could do the famous region of Veneto, where we can explore Venice, Verona, and Padua…or perhaps again to the rolling Tuscan countryside to visit Florence, San Gimignano, Montepulciano and Cortona.

Or maybe you fancy further south, to the iconic Amalfi Coast or the less-frequented region of Puglia, the quieter part of Italy’s south in the “heel” of the country that has a look and feel reminiscent of Greece.

Getting feedback from our community of travellers is very important to me, as the vision for Wheel & Anchor has always been that we are a member-driven community. If you have a quick minute to let me know, the poll is in the blog below.

(I could dream on for hours about it all, so your input here will help me stay focused on the task at hand!)

And last but certainly not least, I’d like to briefly introduce our newest team member, Mahalia Paul, who will be helping us with our Member Services. Travel is roaring back in a hurry, and we’re grateful to have her join us so we can make sure to get everyone’s trips in order!

As always, I appreciate you being with us on this crazy ride, and I look forward to sharing the results of the poll with you next week.
