What the Austrians Do Best

I’m spending a few weeks in Austria this summer working on a project I’ve had in my mind for some time.

Not that there’s not enough going on with Wheel & Anchor to keep me busy – this fall is going to be a little nuts – but there’s an energy that comes with starting a new project and finally I decided it’s time.

For those of you who know me, Austria is very near and dear to my heart, as it is where I started my career in hospitality and tourism.

It had a formative impact on me with regards to the way I see travel and hospitality:

So far it has been a very cool trip – I’ve met Europe’s most famous chocolatier, a pioneer of ‘Wine Streets, schnapps makers, and more – exploring this idea of what constitutes hospitality and how one should treat their guests, according to those who do it best.

I’ll be sharing some interview footage from some of the people I meet in the coming weeks and maybe a photo or two. If you have any questions please shoot me an email!

Cheers from here in Austria!
